It was slow so far today, and Nana was trying her best to keep herself occupied when Gil showed up. She'd been hoping one of the regulars would pop in (at least, one of the regulars she was comfortable talking to), and so was pretty pleased to see him there. She opened her mouth to greet him, but shut it and waved back when she noticed that he was on the phone. She set off to fix his usual for him, and couldn't help but be excited to see him. Maybe he'd have time to talk today? He was a doctor, after all, and a very nice one at that. She was pretty fond of being about to chat with him when he was around, and she wouldn't feel guilty at all since business was so slow.
While Nana was nice and polite to all of her customers (even the rude ones!), there were few that she could really feel comfortable conversing with, and Dr. Hatayama was one of them. She hummed a bit to herself as she added the whipped cream and sprinkles on top of his drink before setting it on the counter in front of him. At first she had been surprised by his choice of drink, but as he came in more often, she decided that it fit him very well.
She waited patiently for him to be done with his phone call, eager for a chance to talk with him.
