Who: ZuuZuu Green and Anyone interested!
When: Late Morning, December 18th, 2048
Where: The Hearth Cafe
Rating: Pg-13 for now, just to be safe.
Summary: A usual day at the Hearth.
It was barely 11:15am and ZuuZuuu was already bored out of her mind. This was usually the time of day when the cafe was sparse on customers, after the breakfast rush and just before the lunch hour. There were a few people here and there; an older woman seated by the window with her third cup of tea and a half-eaten raspberry scone, a young couple trying to 'discreetly' swallow each other's tongues on a couch in the corner, a student surrounded by books a papers and looking like he was going to have a breakdown any moment, and three or four other people scattered about the room and at outside tables. She had already finished helping prepare the sandwiches and other items for lunch and had switched the breakfast pastries in the display case for rich slices of cake and pie.
There was nothing else to do now but wait for the lunch rush in oh, half an hour. Really, ZuuZuu wasn't the patient type. Especially when she was bored.
She wandered her way out of the kitchen where she had been absent-mindedly wiping at an already spotless mixing bowl to come and lean against the counter. She pulled off the black hairnet she was forced to wear in the kitchen (she despised the thing with a passion), stuffing it into the pocket of her black apron and tucking a bright red curl behind her ear. With a sigh she leaned her elbows against the dark granite of the counter top and stared longingly out the window. It was a slightly cool day, maybe around 44 degrees, but the sky was so crystal blue and the sun so bright it seemed a crime against nature to be stuck inside. She needed something to do before she decided to vault over the counter and go enjoy the sun.
