"Just running across the street," Sasika said, shaking her coat off and hanging it on the back of the chair to dry as she sat down gratefully. "And hi, Abigail, I'm Saskia." She grinned in response to the small smile that the other woman offered, thinking that she'd probably scared the crap out of her by just inviting herself to sit down. Well, hopefully it would pass.
"I was on the way home and the truck just--ugh, well, kaboom, you know?" She made a motion with her hands, hoping that somehow it would describe the situation without suggesting that she was somehow in danger of losing her life. Which she wasn't. Just in danger of getting very angry and wet. "It's a piece of crap, really, but I'd kind of feel like I was selling a family member if I trashed it." Shrugging a shoulder, Saskia took a drink of her water and averted her eyes out the window.
