"I don't know what you are talking about," Jayden said, raising his eyebrows in mock surprise. "I happen to live a very humble lifestyle, thank you very much." This was especially amusing to now that his marriage had led him to move into a large seafront home. With garage space!
"People go into engineering for two reasons," he replied in response to her comment. "Either for the money or because of their parents. I was in the latter group." He looked at her seriously. "Trust me, you're not missing out." He didn't regret his college years, but he wished he had gotten more out of them. Engineering had been so time consuming that he hardly had the time for anything else.
"And it's good that you aren't listening to what other people say. No one knows what they are talking about - except for me!" He gave her a wink.
