Scooting up his chair, Jayden wondered where Olivia was. Granted, he had arrived early, but the longer he had to wait, the stranger all of this felt. He wondered to himself if it would have been better to wait until Aaron could join them. Olivia was Aaron's little sister after all - was taking Olivia out to lunch really within his jurisdiction?
Jayden glanced out the window and thought that he saw someone coming toward the car. Sure enough, it was Olivia. He let down the window and yelled, "I didn't think you were coming!" He grinned at her though, obviously happy to be seeing her.
Though he continued to smile, Jayden found himself absolutely shocked by who greeted him at his car's window. It wasn't the little girl he used to pick on, nor was it the awkward little teenager he used to tease...It was someone else entirely. Someone who didn't have an exact place in his memory.
Olivia was older now, too. She was a woman.
A woman who existed as herself - not as anyone's little sister.
