May Day Celebration at Innovo Park: by Walter Kacy |
Preparing for the Fruitful Generation: by Elaine Grant |
---|---|
For almost eight years now, the City of Innovo has been celebrating May Day in the Innovo Botanical Gardens and State Park. Ever since our great city was discovered in 2019, it has been recognized for its wealth in natural beauty and this beauty is rarely more apparent than it is in springtime. During the first year of Innovo's discovery, the Botanical Gardens had begun to be built. Just before the second anniversary of Innovo and right before May Day, the park was completed. The Mayor at the time, Clifford Reinskin, declared that May Day would be a special day for all of Innovo. Every year since then the May Day celebration has been a much anticipated day in Innovo. On the 1st of May we will once again be celebrating May Day but on this year, we have even more to celebrate! With the Fruitful Law now in effect, the festival is not only celebrating spring and the new life in the land around us but also the birth of an entirely new world! To further celebrate the law, the entire festival will be dedicated to all of our new couples, both married and engaged. Everything will have a theme of 'Love', the food, booths, performances, etc. Everything your eyes will touch will remind you of love and future happiness. Fruitful couples will receive free gifts and be eligible for all types of contests, from sack races to cutest couple. There will of course still be the usual attractions such as May Basket Making, the crowning of the May Queen, musical and dance performances and of course, the Maypole. The festival will begin at 9:00am and everyone is welcome to come in and out of the park all day long. Festivities will come to a close at 7:00pm. I am sure that we are all looking forward to this wonderful day! For the full list of events and performances, continue to page 12... |
The picture above is of 'The Apple Tree Day Care & Child Development Center', a building still in the process of construction on the upper North side of Innovo . The center begun being built only a month ago and it is already well on its way to completion. There is already a waiting list of future children to enroll in this day care. This day care center is only one of the many examples of the world preparing itself for the incoming generation of children, the 'Fruitful Generation' as they have already been dubbed. The world has gone twenty years without even one child being born, twenty years of loss and of fear as we as humans anticipated our own extinction. But then, as we all well know, hope returned to us with the Fruitful Law and now the Global Government is in a mad scramble to be ready for the next generation. Doctors are being pulled from their own chosen professions and being put through crash courses in pediatrics. College professors are being asked to take courses in childhood development and to become teachers. Baby foods and clothing are being made in record speed, long forgotten texts on parenting and children are being put back on shelves, schools and day care centers such as The Apple Tree are popping up all over, and there is even a large play ground being built in our very own Innovo Park. What is highest in demand though is experience. Our older generation are the only people left who have any idea what raising children really entails. I, myself have raised three children and I am currently being offered positions as a consultant, a professor, and even as a doctor. The world needs every bit of information it can get and the mothers and fathers of our world are the only true source of this information and have been put into completely new positions because of it. There has also been a great amount of criticism and opposition regarding the Governments efforts to ready the world for these children. Many are saying that we as a people are already setting up to make this new generation the most revered, worshiped, and downright spoiled generation ever. Everyday I look around and see that the Fruitful Law is not only affecting those that are being paired, but also the entire world. All of us, even those who are not able to take part in this new world and even those who are opposed to it, we are all having to adjust to gaining back something so dear that we thought was forever lost. |
Couple Attempts to Kidnap Pregnant Woman : by Nathan Jipples |
Art Day in Innovo : by Pauline Tritter |
---|---|
Two days ago in Chicago, Illinois, Gregory and Caroline Sanders (one of the many couples paired by the Fruitful Law) were taking a walk when they were accosted by another couple in a silver van. Mrs. Sanders is currently three months pregnant and the two were heading home as she was not feeling well. The other couple were their neighbors, people they were much familiar with so they were not surprised to meet them. The woman from the other couple (whose name has yet to be released) demanded that Mrs. Sanders get into the van. When she refused, the male from the other couple jumped out of the van and tried to grab her. A fight broke out between the man and Mr. Sanders as he tried to wrestle him to the ground and eventually he was successful. The police arrived shortly after and arrested the couple. After being taken back to the police station, the woman confessed that they had intended to kidnap Mrs. Sanders. Officers say that she seemed "genuinely horrified' at the thought of hurting Mrs. Sanders and assured the officers that there was "no intention of harm". She confessed that, as both she and her husband are over thirty, they had hatched a plan to kidnap Mrs. Sanders and convince her to let them raise the child. Even though both parties swear that they were not going to hurt Mrs. Sanders and the fact that they carried no weapons supports that, both are scheduled to be moved to a prison. continue to page 41 for full article and views from readers... |
Tomorrow, April 18th, is Art Day in Innovo, California. As with every year for the past four, Art Day is a day in Innovo where everything in the Art District is either free or half-priced. In an effort to support culture and the arts in our city, every museum and theater is open to the public free of charge. Along with free access to shows and the museums, hundreds of items in just about every store is slashed in price. Restaurants and cafes lower their prices and provide specials on this day also. There is always something interesting to see, local artists willing to paint portraits for those walking the streets, music being played on nearly every corner, mimes, and people generally enjoying themselves. While Art Day is not a large event in the least, it always is a great attraction for many, drawing crowds every year without fail. Do not miss out on your chance to enjoy all the great fun and bargains! |
