Who; Abigail Chevalier with a mention of Eddie Strayer Where; Sunnyside Apartment Complex When; Morning Summary; Abigail wanted to thank Eddie for helping her out. Rating/Warnings; G. Abby's boring.
Abigail was a decent chef, but it wasn't often that she did cooking for anybody but herself, which is why it was so nerve-wracking for her to bake a batch of double chocolate chunk peanut butter cookies for Eddie as a thank you for fixing her car and driving her home. The first batch burnt and the second wasn't cooked enough. Third time's a charm, though, and Abby managed to have a batch ready before she went to bed. She placed them in one of those decorative Chinese food containers -- this one was a pretty gold one she had picked up at a craft store.
Before leaving to catch the metro to the university, Abby took the elevator up one more floor and walked to Eddie's apartment. She placed the carton just outside the door on top of the newspaper and wondered briefly if anyone would steal the cookies. She hoped not. Abigail took a small envelope out of her purse and set it on top of the box. There was a thank you note inside:
Abigail studied the small package for a moment before buttoning her coat and heading back to the elevator. She hoped he liked cookies and that she didn't seem too forward. She also hoped she wouldn't be late for class.
