Who: Krysanthe and Aaron. Where: Pyreal & Pero Bookstore. When: April 1st; Afternoon. Rating: PG? Probably. Summary: The meeting of The Fertilizer Man. It had to happen. Warnings: None. Probably.
It’s been a long time since she was able to enjoy herself in a bookstore. Ever since the marriage termination notification arrived, Krys felt like she was simply walking on air, supported by nonexistent wings that were flapping away, trying to keep her afloat. Such an odd feeling, but one she welcomed entirely. It was about time she was able to feel completely free.
Of course, it was only for a short while, until the next husband arrived and Krysanthe would be dropped back to square one.
Irritated by her thoughts, Krys snapped a book shut and slipped it back into its proper place. Randomly choosing another one, based on its fluorescent green spine, the girl flipped it open and was met with drawings of Spiderman, Batman, and Superman. She blinked.
The harsh lines and overly exaggerated muscle features hurt her eyes, while drawings of big bosom heroines and villainess made her blush and feel a little bit ashamed. God, what was she doing, looking at comics? It was bad enough she felt uncomfortable drawing real life people. Now she had to be looking at fictional people? Badly drawn, really weird, people?
Krysanthe placed back her book, grimly noting that Auryn would probably be laughing at her right now, if he was here, and out of annoyance, violently plucked another book from its place. Huffing, the girl flipped absentmindedly through the pages and was once again met with oddness. This time, the characters had very large eyes and there were flowers printed in the background. What?
Holding it further away from her face (as if it could help her see better), Krys turned it this way and that, noting the round and very inhuman features. No way anyone could look like that. It was impossible.
The idea of having comics teach her to be more comfortable with drawing people seemed like such a bad idea now.
