ZuuZuu's picture hadn't been very revealing, and from what he'd seen of those taken of other matches, they were meant more to be like prison mugshots than anything else. The only thing that had been missing from his own, for example, had been identification number and crime, though Auryn suspected enough could be determined from his expression to form an opinion of the latter.
He looked up when ZuuZuu spoke, a simple lifting of the head as if the rest of his body refused to take part in this heresy. The fact that she was smiling wasn't lost on him, though it did little to affect Auryn's mood nor draw up any similar expression. Without looking down at what he was doing, Auryn carefully slipped a bookmark into his spot, closed the book, and slid it slightly to the side before standing and inclining his head slightly.
"Indeed. Ayzumi Green, I presume."
She was what her file had suggested, as little as it had. Young, but not moreso than him, and with the fresh face of an individual who still hadn't lost faith in the possibilities of things. It was obvious why she had chosen the Hearth--she didn't look nervous, only wary, and perhaps the setting of this meeting was to thank, though Auryn didn't know how much he would have been put at ease himself, had he chosen the hospital or even his own apartment to meet her.
"Please sit down." Auryn gestured to the chair across from him, waiting until she'd sat before he took his own seat. His mother had raised him extremely polite, which only served to make unknown acquaintances feel more ostracized (according to Krysanthe, at least). But he wasn't going to change his behavior just to ease the process. He was who he was.
"This is your workplace, isn't it?" he asked, glancing around before folding his hands against his chin. "As an apprentice?"
