Who: Auryn Dubai and Krysanthe Danielson. When: Today, evening. Where: Their room. Rating: Should be relatively clean. Maybe. Summary: Krys finds comfort in the fact her roommate knows her too well.
Krysanthe had found herself twirling in her chair, spinning until her stomach felt like exploding and her eyes blinked away the stars in her vision. No idea as to why she continued doing this, the girl stopped herself from toppling over the next time and heaved a sigh. She then vaguely remembered lifting herself off the chair and making her way up the spiral staircase, Kungpao bounding before her, wanting attention.
Each step she took seemed to create a deafening noise to her ears, a sound that would have driven her crazy if she had been paying attention. Instead, Krysanthe wasn't quite sure what she was looking at, for she was really looking at everything and nothing.
When she finally arrived at the top of the steps, she had come to realized that she wasn't calm about this situation at all. No, she was merely...numb. Everything washed over her like a giant tidal wave, yet, she was the rock, unmoving and steady. If she was so sturdy, Krys wondered, why did she feel like something was picking at her, fraying her around the edges and furthering the damage?
Grimly, Krysanthe walked across Auryn's room, not really caring where he was right now. Most likely at his desk, wondering what in the hell had gotten into his roommate, while she simply toed off her slippers and slipped under the covers of his futon.
It was cold and the material bunched underneath her smelled like Auryn: spicy, fresh, and entirely of home. It gave her comfort that there was a place she could return to, even though she despised the fact that she was weak enough to need an escape. Wanting to feel warmth and comfort, Krysanthe buried deeper into the futon, her feelings raw and vulnerable, unable to ignore the fact that small signs of sadness was seeping up to her.
With more vigor, she burrowed herself even deeper, feeling much like a mole rather than a person.
