Katrina, though she was notorious for being late, did not care for having to wait This was not something she was unused to -- in her modeling days, she could recall having to stand there as someone simply stared at her, not giving her any verbal or physical cues as to what she as supposed to do, and she didn't care for the feeling. However, Mr. Loyola was a busy man, and she didn't let her annoyance, slight as it was, show, instead occupying her time admiring his office.
She preferred this stark decorating to the boring 'earth tones' in the rest of the building. She liked modern styles and clean lines, and perhaps she was predisposed to the color, she did enjoy the splotches of red everywhere. However, she had a feeling he did not want any closeups of his personal working space.
When he did acknowledge her, she gradually turned toward his desk. "I understand that you are a very busy man, I am only thankful that you spared as much time as you already have." If there was one thing about Kat, it was charm. She'd always had a sort of charisma about her, and though she did not always utilize it, when she did, her charm was quite intoxicating. "It is very nice to get the privileged to meet you in person."
She took a few steps closer to the desk. "You seem to be the last photograph on my agenda. Is there anything in particular that you had in mind?" Often, people did have something in mind, even though she was the professional, and they refused to be happy unless the photographs were taken their way. Often, she would let them take pictures as they wanted and then requested they take a few her way. And of course, once they saw the proof in the photos, they would choose hers. She knew the ticks of the trade, how to find the lighting, how to lose twenty pounds by angling your frame, everything and anything.
Rafael was an attractive man, however, it wasn't as if she would have to drag a decent photograph out of him, which was sometimes the case with some of her other clients. However, Kat did not discriminate, as long as they had the money to pay her.
"And, Kat is fine, Mr. Loyola. I realize my last name is somewhat of a mouthful." Her mother had been one of those types that had felt she would be too conventional and loosing her sense of self to take her husband's last name and leave her maiden name to the wayside. Unfortunately, Katrina was stuck with both of them, as her birth certificate had been signed that way. This made her wonder what exactly she would do when she got married -- add on another name, or forget about both of them?
She wasn't sure, but she didn't want to think about it, either.
