Rafe immediately disliked her obsequious attitude. However, he knew it made no difference in the long run because there were few people that he liked. Those who pedantically followed the rules of 'polite' society he considered to be bottom feeders. They were the sorts that liked to live off of other people's success and hard work. He was, however, willing to be lenient. Ms. Beaumonte-Richardson was a fine example of the feminine form, after all.
No matter how she looked, he would not call her Kat. He had a rule about names, as in he rarely used personal ones. Generally, the use of them engendered the idea that they could use his own. As well, people began taking liberties if they believed there to be a stated relationship. Using surnames established a distance, and it made his work easier. "Ms. Beaumonte will suffice," He replied. The only person he called by given name was River, and it was not even her real name.
Returning to her earlier statement, he cordially remarked, "You are the photographer, I yield to your superior experience in the matter." It had originally been on the recommendation of PR that he be photographed. They said people wanted to see him, a concept that still bemused him. Although they were the ones left befuddled when he unexpectedly ran with their idea. Rafe was not like River, he did not enjoy confusing people for the sake of confusing them, but he did find it amusing and wholly satisfying. Still, he was not one to lose sight of the final goal. He had needs to be seen to after all.
Slipping his hands into his pockets, he crossed the space separating the two of them. As always, his stride was purposeful but loping, resulting in the childhood nickname of 'Lobo' or wolf. He had never much appreciated the term, as he did not consider himself to have a pack. Now standing in front of Ms. Beaumonte, he looked down at her with a raised eye brow. "Where do we begin?" He asked in a low mellow tone with only a hint of his usual mockery. Personally, he knew where he wanted to start, as the line of her jaw tantalized him.
