NUNDU ATTACK

Ministry of Magic spokeswizards have confirmed reports of a Nundu attack in Kenya, telling the Daily Prophet that, at press time, Kenyan officials were reassuring neighbouring countries that 217 volunteers had been deployed to execute the creature.
Kenyan officials were unprepared to release a death toll, which is expected to be in the hundreds, but credible sources from within the Department of Games and Sports were able to verify the rumour that member's of Kenya's national Quidditch team are among the victims. They were found in what was to be this year's Quidditch World Cup stadium along with dozens of workers who were still finishing the uncompleted project. While there has been no official word yet, due to the ongoing tragedy, Kenya is expected to recind its bid to host the match, leaving the
future of this year's Cup uncertain.
Native to East Africa, the nundu is arguably the most dangerous creature known to wizard-kind due to its toxic, disease-laden breath. Experts say it's impossible to tell the difference between the victim of a nundu and one of natural disease once the victim is deceased, making it incredibly difficult to spot a nundu attack quickly
enough to stop it before things get out of hand. Also complicating matters is the fact that this gigantic, leopard-like animal moves silently and kills without ever coming in direct contact with its victims.
