Late Saturday Night, an unusually large magical fireworks display over St Michael's Mount, an island well-known to muggles as a tourist destination, drew the attention of Cornwall residents. Because Cornwall is home to a large muggle population, magical residents were quick to Apparate to the island to put a stop to the display. When they arrived, the culprits had already disappeared without a trace, leaving only 4-year-old Addy McLaggen. He was unwilling to respond to rumours that her kidnapping was a response to his very public interest in being appointed Minister for Magic, but sources inside the Department of Magical
