Who: Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini. When: July 11th. Afternoon. Where: Malfoy Manor. What: Friends re-connecting and conversation. Distraction from wedding number eight with liquor. Rating: Low.
Draco had decided it was high time he make his presence known in the world again, and was starting with his friends. He'd seen Jake, and then Daphne, and today Blaise was to be popping by for conversation and also for alcohol so that the other boy could distract his mind from his mother's upcoming nuptuals. How that woman could marry so much Draco would never understand. Weddings seemed like a very grand nuseance and ordeal - one was enough, was his thought on the matter. More than that would only be a headache.
He had pulled out some scotch, as promised, and some heavy tumblers, and had the House Elf prepare some sandwiches as well, because he did know how to be a proper host. And it was never good to drink on an empty stomach.
When the knock came at the door, the House Elf would answer it, properly taking Blaise's coat (if he had one) before leading him down the hall to the sitting room, where Draco was waiting, already smoking a cigarette. A habit he had picked up during his Sixth Year, as a means of steadying his nerves (not that anything really worked for that) and had kept with since.
