Lynette loved Diagon Alley. Her love for it had only grown in the past few weeks. Now that people were out shopping again, out and making noise, it had become a fantastic place for her to be. Other than the streets of London, it was the one place she could allow herself to just melt into the crowd and get lost. It wasn't even her name that made her want to get lost in the crowd, but just the feeling of not being alone. Lynette knew there were a few people that would rather be staying inside or away from others, but she couldn't do it anymore.
Most of her morning had been spent at a muggle cafe, just people watching and drinking coffee. It had been relaxing, and very much needed. From there, she had decided to actually go and finish collecting her school supplies. School was still a month away, but she really didn't want to procrastinate any more. Hopefully they would have the games playing in the shops and long lines could be spent listening to the different teams and what the outcomes were going to be.
For the time, her mind was in a good place. She was distracted and didn't feel as terrible as she had the night before. But like always, at the worst time, a smell hit her. It might had possibly been a scream from one of the children playing nearby. Her eyes unfocused and her mind slipped back to those few months with her father. So much screaming and so much blood. Lynette could feel her body hit something and start to fall over, but it felt like she was frozen and couldn't move. It had been the same paralyzing fear she had felt before. It had only been a couple of seconds and it was over. Luckily, whatever she had ran into had caught her.
"Oh Merlin, I'm so sorry."
