Who: Zacharias Smith and Jake Dorny. When: August 2nd, 1998. 7pm. (Forward dated to tomorrow) Where: Jake’s place. What: A dinner date. Rating: Low?
Zacharias had not been lying, not in the least when he said that he had been thinking of Jake frequently. The other young man was often on his mind, in quite a pleasant manner, and he had come to look forward to their conversations greatly. With every conversation it seemed as though he learned something new about the other – some other little tidbit that made him all the more interesting, all the more tantalizing.
He had dressed smartly for their dinner date, even if they were just going to Jake’s place. Maybe because they were just going to Jake’s place, and there was something intimate and important in that. Zacharias donned a pair of nicely tailored trousers and a very nice shirt, checking his appearance in a mirror before he departed, to make sure he looked as good as possible. He did want to impress, after all.
Once he was satisfied, he gathered up a couple things and then took his wand in hand and Apparated to the Dorny residence, outside in case there were wards to be wary of. Tucking his wand away, he made sure the bottle of wine he held in one hand and the box tucked under his arm were both in one piece – they were – and then made his way up to the door. He knocked smartly and waited for Jake to answer, as the Jake had said he would be home alone tonight.
