There was really no proper way to describe how Mandy was feeling at the moment. It was insensitive, given the fact that some of her dear friends had been unjustly incarcerated the previous year, and the struggle and torture they must have undergone in the process. If anything she was sure that her nightmares could scarcely compare to their own, but as she stood at the entry to Diagon Alley for the first time in weeks, Mandy couldn't help but feel as if a weight had been lifted.
It was the second time that summer she'd been allowed out, but this time there was no need to rush home, no threat of consequences and no worries that she'd end up stuck in the house until she was 50. At least she hoped not. Reaching into her robes' pockets to verify that her coins were still there, she started down the cobbles, eyes scanning her surroundings as she walked. Usually the sort to rush to her destination, Mandy was deliberately taking her time today looking at the various hints of reconstruction throughout the Alley.
It didn't take her long to walk the distance to Flourish and Blotts, her usual destination in Diagon Alley, and with a smile she pulled open the door and stepped into the familiar space. Breathing in the slightly musty smell of the familiar bookstore, the bell tinkling lightly as the door closed, Mandy paused a moment to take hit all in. Finally, blushing slightly as she realised she might be in the way, Mandy headed for the nearest stacks, scanning the titles as she moved.
