Hogwarts Information!
Sorry about the delay in this - having to rewrite all this stuff sucks a bit. I got a lot of my data recovered but I couldn't remember all the files to have them back up so some of my RPG stuff went by the wayside. >.< Anyway, behind the cut, have some information as to Hogwarts - whats intact, what has been repaired and what has been shuffled around!
The below ground floors survived with very little damage. This means that the Slytherin and Hufflepuff dorms/common rooms are just as they were. So are the kitchens, so hurrah for food.
The main floor of the castle suffered a great deal of damage, however it was the first place that was repaired. McGonagall and Co. wanted the Enterance Hall and the Great Hall to be just as they were for when the students arrived - for a sense of continuity - and so they were the first places to be redone and now match their former glory, although some small changes can be seen (like the tables and benches and what not in the Great Hall are clearly new furniture, although built to mimic the old).
In terms of classrooms, well, there are a lot of rooms in Hogwarts than there are classes taught. The following classes have been moved to new rooms: Divination and Charms. Also, Ancient Runes is now a travelling class - basically each section of the class is in a different classroom (whatever class is not being used at the time) until another classroom can be repaired. All rooms that are still not repaired are spell-locked off from students.
Students will be excited to know (haha) that the library and its books are fine!
The Astronomy Tower is still heavily damaged and is currently closed down. Astronomy classes will be held outside, with the class meeting in the courtyard before going off to various parts of campus that afford the best view. When weather is incliment, classes will meet in the Great Hall.
Gryffindor Tower has been repaired - the tower itself was intact, there was just some internal desctruction. So furniture and what not has been replaced, and the Fat Lady is once again in her portrait and ready to let students in.
Ravenclaw Tower, however, did not fair so well. The dorms and common room of old are currently closed down. New, temporary (but still nice!) dorms and common room have been set up on the base floors of the tower. Work on Ravenclaw Tower is currently the top priority, with hopes that it will be re-opened by late fall/early winter.
The Quidditch pitch has been rebuild/restored.
The rest of the grounds are fine. Some places required new planting to be done, so there are many areas of regrowth.
The Great Lake and the Giant Squid survived very well.
