Z thought for a few minutes, looking at her schedule and thinking about the staff and who she knew or suspected had a background in Ancient Runes.
"Let me help you put together a syllabus for the third years," Z said. "I can walk you through some of the basics and if you stick with the syllabus, you should be fine. Is it Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff or Gryffindor/Slytherin? They're both pretty easy classes, and the Gryffindors and Slytherins don't hate each other as much as they did when I was in school. Plus they won't want to mess with you. Seventh years are going to be more tricky."
Z tapped out a rhythm on the table, thinking some more.
"I know Victoria knows her way around Runes, but I'm not sure if she's got a class then or not. It's be worth asking her, maybe in exchange for doing a bit of her grading or something. We'd also have to figure out who could run History of Magic is she's willing to do it, but can't because there's a class then. And Professor Nolan might have taken Ancient Runes-it'd be a similar deal as Victoria, probably. Still worth asking. Otherwise, I'd say we reschedule the class for after dinner and I run it."
