"I mean, we all had a hard time dealing with it the last time someone in the castle started trying to eat other people." Or many small, pointy-eared someones.
"It's really good, though," he added, watching William anxiously. How was he going to distract Gerard when William made a break for it? Casting darkness wouldn't work, not if Gerard could actually smell them. "I had to spend an hour in the boy's bathroom passing Byron tissues to get the whole story."
