Oh, that was just -- Gerard scowled up at the wizard, who was precariously clinging to a low-hanging branch and looking dazed. If William got his fool self killed falling out of a tree before Gerard could rip his throat out, Gerard was going to be so pissed. Ugh, this just wasn't his night.
Well, he could probably jump up and snag William's foot by now if he wanted, but that would leave him open to attack, and there was definitely someone else watching them right now. Gerard began quietly slinking through the underbrush, scenting the air. Noise and voice from that direction, scent from another. Hmm. And on the wind, new voices and sounds, coming this way. What, was this suddenly a Hogwarts party spot?
Well, it did mean more biting opportunities at hand, if Gerard was careful and clever. But he didn't particularly feel like being careful or clever -- he just wanted to pounce and rend and tear. He was tired of this sneak sneak sneaking. Too boring. Too human. Gerard wasn't human, wasn't wizard. He was wolf. So fuck all this noise. A human on the ground was worth two in a tree, or whatever. Gerard smelled the air again, listening intently -- and there, the human was right there, even if Gerard couldn't see him. He bared his teeth in a soundless laugh, and then sprang.
