Huh. Gerard hadn't really anticipated the side-effects of this human body thing, like the whole 'conversing with one's victims' thing. He generally just howled and slavered as they screamed and begged for mercy. He wasn't sure how to feel about conversation, honestly. He hadn't even intended to say anything at all earlier, but it'd just sort of... popped out.
"Close?" he asked experimentally, and widened his eyes. Wide like prey, wide like something innocent. He was a genius, he totally had this human thing down. It was kind of fun, really. "Is something wrong?"
He took a step forward and then frowned. The cat glared back up at him. Gerard settled back on his heels, unnerved.
