He could respect the brute strength behind it, because he knew Gerard was a werewolf and could snap him in half if Adam didn't obey everything he said. It wasn't like that with other people. It wasn't like that with his wife, for certain, who was petite and beautiful and completely different from, well. Anyone hanging around now. What was he supposed to tell Gerard.
"I know," Adam said, crossing his arms over his chest and continuing to stare at the desk.
