"Any burns?" Nate asked the three girls softly, brushing some of the dust off of Lydia's shoulders. They glanced up at him shyly, shaking their heads. Tear tracks streaked through the dust on Yvette's face, and Nate conjured up three damp handkerchiefs for them to clean themselves off with.
"I think we're all good," he said, when William swayed again. Nate frowned. "Katya, Matthias and I can take care of this. You should go find Healer Bryar now." It wasn't that he didn't trust William to go to the healer, it was just — no, that was a lie. He totally didn't trust William to go to the healer if there were other people around who looked like they needed help.
