Mikey flicked his wand, and it felt like all the bones in his body suddenly stretched and shifted in half a second. It didn't hurt, exactly, but it wasn't a feeling he could ever have imagined.

Nate was on the ground. Why was he on the ground, when his wings needed to be stretched? He spread his wings, lifting himself into the air with two powerful beats. Something fluttered to the ground.
(Wings out up forward stretch)
The room was too confined, walls on all four sides, with no room for Nate to fly properly. The room was not the whole world, though. (Inside wall wall wall wall out? Out out out — no.) No, no going outside. That was... bad, for some reason?
Irritated, Nate forced himself to settle down on the table. He could wait to fly properly, for now.
