"It wasn't her fault the castle's gone all weird and started spontaneously generating plants and shit," Spencer said, nodding. "And I know the Ministry Healer -- she was in my year, and I was sort of friends with her. Hayley's pretty cool, I don't think she'd mind. I keep her in Greenhouse 5 just in case, anyway -- it's a new one, I keep the more dangerous plants in there, and shielded and stuff so that the kids don't stumble in." He shrugged. The need for a Greenhouse that wasn't just for classes but storage of some pretty dangerous things had become incredibly clear within about two minutes of his arrival at Hogwarts this summer.
"I'd like to hear the musical," Spencer said, grinning and starting to walk, gesturing for Gerard to follow him. "My mum loves musicals. But I don't know any about plants. I just thought the name sounded right." He cocked his head to the side, said, "She likes being talked to, I think? When she's eaten, anyway, otherwise being talked to just means that she tries to follow your voice and eat you. I guess music would be the same."
He lead the way up the well-beaten path, knowing that to most people it looked just like an empty patch of grounds before the Forbidden Forest took over. The magical guards meant people skirted around it without thinking, but Spencer pulled out his wand and disabled them, and Greenhouse 5 shimmered into view. It was emptier than the other greenhouses -- the plants had a habit of eating each other if they were too close -- and Audrey's dark figure loomed in front of the window, clearly a newcomer. Spencer said, "Bobo," and tried not to flush unnecessarily as the final wards went down at the password.
