Though he would never admit to it aloud, Spencer possibly had a moment where he thought William had managed to doppelganger himself and they had to look out for multiple Williams, who were roaming the halls in search of bookish revenge or something even more terrifying. "Where!" he said, looking around uselessly -- the cupboard barely had room for one William and a Spencer, Spencer didn't think there was much chance of fitting any more tall Ravenclaws in there -- before he remembered Hayley down the end of the corridor and turned faintly pink.
"Didn't you date her?" he said, frowning slightly to cover up any residual embarrassment. He vaguely remembered William and Hayley putting on a bit of a display at the last Yule Ball, although he'd been quite drunk by that time. "Don't use last names of people you've made out with, it's creepy."
William looked a little creeped out himself, though. Spencer whispered, "Lumos." Careful to hold his wand away from the door so as not to give away their hiding spot with a glow through the crack in the cupboard doors, he blinked and whispered, "Everything alright?"
