Mikey laughed quietly, envisioning William curled up in bed with a giant tome under one arm. It fitted. "Why did you want to run away and join the circus, though?" he asked, curious. "Hogwarts is pretty happy." Or it always had been for him. But then he had left two years before the war had closed it, maybe it hadn't been quite so happy towards the end.
Careful fingers closing over his had him starting to feel familiarly warm. It was a reaction he was beginning to realise was very much Spencer-specific. Then Spencer went further and offered him a tentative opening to discuss all that. He paused, oddly touched, and then rubbed his thumb over the back of Spencer's hand, suddenly reminded of how he was sitting next to someone three years his junior, even if he didn't act it. "Well the first was mostly a joke," he said slowly, "and to be honest I don't - not that William's not, you know." Hmm, he was managing to make a mess of this. "I'm trying to say I'd don't really want to sleep with anyone other than you, but it's not working, is it?" Except hopefully it just had.
"And the other bit, that's just - fun, well no, fun isn't the right word. Something that works for me, I suppose." He wasn't sure that was a why he could put into words really. "If you were ever interested I'd be happy to try some things but," he looked round at Spencer and smiled, "I am absolutely not expecting to be trussing you up at the first opportunity." Hmm. "Or vice versa," he added, letting his smile stretch into a grin. Only fair.
