William didn't know where Pete had been keeping that wand. He was, however, delighted with the results. "This is a Muggle police wand, isn't it?" he inquired with interest. It was heavier than he was used to, and rather bulky, but then Muggles did have to go about things in different ways. "It's how they compel citizens to do their bidding and maintain order."
It wasn't really magic, he knew, but there had to be something scientifically advanced about it, for a simple stick to have so much power. Perhaps some scientific form of Imperius? Muggles were amazing inventors.
He gave it an experimental swish-and-flick, and the Muggle police wand promptly made a sound like an incensed banshee, so loudly that he nearly dropped it in his surprise. He jerked the nightstick up and it wailed again, prompting him to stare with wide eyes at Pete. "Is it meant to do that?"
