"Gabe," William called back, almost dizzy with relief. There were more Ravenclaws out here, but he'd stopped counting them, focus narrowing. He picked his way across something that was still smoldering into ashes and half-ran the rest of the way to meet Gabe, needing to physically reassure himself that Gabe was actually real and alive more than he'd needed anything in a long time.
He grabbed Gabe's t-shirt with both hands and pulled him in until he couldn't get any closer, desperately clutching at the fabric and feeling the warmth of Gabe's skin underneath it. "Gabe."
