Folk healing magic says to suck the venom out of wounds caused by Acromantula and other poisonous creatures' bites to prevent or delay the effects of the venom. I would try that first; you probably don't have much time to lose. Dreamvine slashed and applied directly to open wounds has been known to prevent infection if you have some on hand, as incongruous as that sounds -- check with the older Ravenclaws first if you have any around, it's a sixth-year rite of passage.
