"Artist?" Mikey snorted. "Hinges I can do, but I really hope you not expecting a stained glass masterpiece." He was already pulling out his wand and wandering over though. Something that opened on touch, he reckoned. Like an owl flap. And if there was a way to make it obvious that it was an entrance from the outside then that would be good too.
He fixed what he wanted firmly in his mind and then he was tidying up the hole until it was a neat circle. A thin wooden frame and two ball pins later, they had a handy revolving porthole. He made the glass a different colour from the rest so it stood out and then stood back to admire his handywork. Not as beautiful as it could have been, but it would do.
"Okay," he said turning back to Adam. "Now what?" They still had twenty odd children to keep busy. Tilting his head towards them he gave Adam a thoughtful look. "Do you think we ought to be teaching them things? Stuff that could help?"
