Mikey arched an eyebrow at Adam pointedly. "Joke all you like, my friend, who knows how we're spending the night. Snuggling for warmth may yet be on the cards." Hopefully not, as that would mean the situation was really serious, but who knew. It was starting to get dark outside and the corridors weren't anything like safe.
"Do they dampen everything?" he asked. "Don't we need to hear other people trying to get in?" Which didn't really make sense, now that he thought about it. Adam must've had the wards up before yet he seemed to know they were on the other side of the door.
"Um, I think it'll be okay if you just go over. It might be better to leave him sitting down now, get him settled. Maybe just send away anyone but his friends, the older ones? I don't think cutting them out would be good in the long run." And who knew, they were bright kids, maybe they could suggest something. "It was one of them that helped me bandage it in the first place - Leila, the tall one of the left - she can give you the details. I'll be over in a sec." All he needed was two minutes to whip off a message to Spencer and then he could the rest less privately.
