"I've told them not to go anywhere without a partner, or without a seventh year, if they're younger." He shrugged, sealed a staircase he knew about - he assumed William knew about it, too, but there was no reason to point it out if he didn't - and shoved his wand in his back pocket so he could fasten the zipper on his hoodie. "I've yet to see a house elf in one of the dorms, so I'm not too worried about it. As long as they're alert, the older years should be able to stun anything coming at them and find a teacher for help."
He dug his wand back out and cast a traction spell on his shoes, so he could cross the ice and duck out of the portrait hole. "I'm going to head out. I think I'll try the grounds before I head into the dungeons. If there are any kids out by the pitch or anything, I'd like to get them back inside before it gets too late and too cold out there."
