Gabe's lynx wasn't the same as the first Patronus he'd ever manifested, and it hadn't occurred to him that that might be unusual until everyone started going on about how far back they and their furry souls went. Whatever. "You think magical-animal fur will trigger that?" he asked, looking down at the lynx, who looked back up at him with her eyes reflecting light. She was down in her half-crouch, tip of her tail twitching, but Gabe ignored that because actually, he was totally fine with being alone with his colleague and said colleague's mildly humorous soul manifestation.
"I'm here to talk wolfsbane," Gabe said, without preamble and with an easy smile. "Since my extra-curricular potions-making schedule just cleared dramatically, I thought maybe I should get back into that." Adam obviously wasn't getting up any time soon, so Gabe tugged an armchair a little closer, and sat himself down.
