Mikey peered at the set of plates available. There was a large platter of lettuce just in front of him and by that some toast, but neither was really going to cut it. To his right he could see fried eggs and to the left of them still whole ones, and he frowned. What he really wanted was a fair sized portion of fish or meat that he could put down on the floor. Somehow he didn't think his bobcat would care for much for salad or bread.
He looked up about him for other options and then double-taked as he saw a gorilla making its way across the Hall. The fact that Joe was walking in front of it didn't even register for a few seconds. He'd seen a monkey at some point during the day but it had been a 'perch on the shoulder' size, not a lope alongside you type. "Hey, nice," he said when Joe got close enough to hear him. "I'd make a banana joke but dude, I think your guy's a bit cool for that."
