Joe hadn't warned him about how disorienting it was to be thrown back into your own body (and mind) all in one jarring instant. William got lost somewhere in the middle and tried to move before he'd fully woken up, tripping over his own sleeping feet and half-falling against Spencer's bed.
"I know what it is," he repeated, out loud this time and in the clearer air of reality. He grabbed for Spencer's hand again, his own feeling disconnected without the point of contact, tugging Spencer insistently out of the bed toward the door. "It's not a dream; it's a spell. We have to get to the castle."
