William stared at the evidence of the antibodies at work, then looked up at Gabe, who appeared to be totally in shock. He started grinning and then he couldn't stop laughing, weeks of stress all boiling over into dizzying relief. "It worked?" he echoed, because Gabe wasn't whooping with joy yet, and William couldn't really contain himself. "You did it?"
He slung his arm around Gabe's shoulder, clinging tight, and repeated, "Gabe, you did it."
