William couldn't even imagine. He'd been horrified watching it happen to Pete, spreading through the students, threatening all of them, but somehow that one blank, dead statement was worse than any of it, summarizing the whole bloody nightmare. It wasn't a virus, it was poison. It was killing them, killing who they were from the inside out, and they needed to put a stop to it.
He reached for the vial, stilling it, before tapping the rough surface next to the receptacle. "Kinda fucking evil," he replied evenly. It was too easy to bump Gabe's shoulder, too easy to stay there, with their arms just barely pressed together from shoulder to wrist. "How about we obliterate the shit out of it?"
