Adam actually jumped. He hadn't realized anyone was in the hallways - most of hist students had cleared out as quickly as they could. Adam knew that his classes were boring as hell now that they were basically huge study hall sessions, since half his kids and Adam himself couldn't do magic, and Adam couldn't think of anything to make it more interesting when he couldn't teach them anything practical. It sucked, frankly.
He held the puff up, looking it in the eye. "I know," Adam said, then lowered it and grinned. "He's one of yours, though. I hope that's okay? I got him from Mikey. He changes colors!" Right now, the puff was vaguely flesh-colored, sitting in Adam's hands. Usually, he hung out on Adam's shoulder and was black or, if Adam was eschewing his robes, whatever color shirt he was wearing, and often plaid. Which was really cool!
