"I have never been more glad to see someone in my life than I was to see Joe Trohman before I had to try and teach those kids Cartomancy, let me tell you," Adam said, shaking his head. "Although I imagine that I could've made it a bit more interesting than your average Cartomancy class." He snickered a bit to himself.
"Merits, sure, but there's something to be said about mixing everyone together and letting us sort out who we are on our own," Adam said, shrugging and reaching out to take the card from Pete. "Of course, then you don't figure out who you are until you're fifteen or sixteen sometimes, but I hear it happens to Muggles that way all the time.
He slid another card across to Pete. "Certain things were certainly not deserved," he said pointedly. Like antlers, for instance. "Are you going to mix in the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs in with these two as well?" Adam seemed to only have Slytherin cards, and Pete apparently had Gryffindors, since he'd said he'd start with his own kids.
