William smiled faintly. "I'm glad. Hopefully it'll give us something to go on, at least." It was admittedly unorthodox, but as Jon had pointed out, nothing recognized Dark magic like an inherently magical creature. And no one else could convince them to cooperate the way he suspected Jon could. "Just try to keep him away from the younger students and their impressionable ears."
He stretched out, halfheartedly preparing to stand. "Is there anything else, before I go? Anything you need?" He put a touch of personal concern into the query. Jon might choose not to share whatever was going on with him, but William could at least let him know the offer was open.
