Relieved, Jon responded, "Right! Right. Anyway, after that initial incident, I made all my students take one as side project. And a couple days later, I notice, well-" he nodded his head towards the puff, "-that." Dropping down onto the bed, Jon rubbed a hand over his chin. "I'd never heard of them being able to do that, so I requested the info from you. Which, as expected, had nothing useful whatsoever. Or at least anything I didn't all ready know."
"Pete's got several of them, he's supposed to let me know if he notices anything odd. More odd, at least." That reminded him, he needed to speak with Wentz. "And Mikes has been helping out, seeing if he could find anything since a transfiguration of some sort was the only thing I could think of that might be the cause."
Jon shook his head, finally looking Williams in the eye, "But the best that we can come up with is that somehow they got caught in some sort of charm web? The thing is, I bought them in Hogsmeade and brought them straight here to the hut. I double-checked with the distributor, but he claims they were all perfectly normal."
"So, yeah. Charm webs of some sort and this hut, s'all I've got. But both you and Brendon said the hut was clean, so basically all I've got is a big fat nada." And wow, he hadn't said that many words to anyone that wasn't a student in the past two weeks. It felt kind of nice actually.
