A room on the 2nd floor in the East Wing has been made available and comfortable for you. There are significant protections surrounding the door and windows, just as a precaution, plenty of open space, and a full suite with a bed should you wish to rest and recuperate in the morning. Professor Way will also be informed of your whereabouts, should you both wish the company.
Auror Stumph,
Would you kindly pay a visit to the Ministry of Magic on Monday, to apprise them of the magical illness situation? I’ve owled them with the general information, but you’ll be more able to detail specifics and get a feel for how they would like to handle the situation. If we need to send students home until this is resolved, I would prefer to know at once. I would also like to keep this between us, if possible, to prevent the gossip mill from escalating the situation.
Mr. Beckett,
The London Magical Archive has a sizeable amount of information on magical diseases and maladies. Take the day on Monday and see what you can find that might shed any light on our situation here; we’ll close the library and open again when classes resume on Tuesday. This is a sensitive errand, so come speak to me if you turn up anything interested. Mr. Weekes can also be trusted in this matter, should you require second opinions.
Mr. Valdes,
I realize you are not technically full-time staff here, but I would consider it a personal favor if you would pay a visit to the Department of Mysteries on Monday and see if they know anything about what’s happening here. As you know, the Department prefers to remain – for lack of a better word – mysterious, so please report to me directly when you return. You’ll want to leave early; it may be a long wait, and I suspect you’ll have to charm your way in. Please do be charming-- there may be young lives at stake.
Professor Trohman,
My apologies for putting you to work so soon after your arrival; I’m afraid it cannot be avoided. Please travel to St. Mungo’s first thing Monday morning to visit the contagious illnesses ward. Inform the doctors there of our situation, give them a complete list of symptoms (see the school nurse prior to departure if you have any questions) and find out if they have any experience with a similar disease or suggestions on how it should be handled. I trust you recognize the need for discretion, considering the cause for your errand.
Professor Lazzara,
This week has been very trying for you, I believe. You are excused from the castle Sunday and Monday should you wish to take a brief respite and go home for the end of the weekend. Don’t tell everyone, or they’ll all want vacation time.
