Dallon had been staring at the object for a good ten minutes before he'd felt William enter the room. He felt like shit; there had been a pounding headache that had been blurring his vision until he'd realised the source and protected himself. Being alone with the thing for extended periods of time obviously wasn't good for anyone.
"Hi." He waved a bit in greeting as William came through the door, straightening up from his hunched position on the dusty piano bench. Schecter never really gave his reasons for anything, but he was willing to trust his judgement on William. "No idea exactly what, I'm afraid," he said, getting up to appraise the object from William's perspective. "This rune on the side--" he pointed it out, finger moving in a zigzag line "--would be as good a place as any to start." Dallon couldn't remember if he'd seen that particular rune before, but something rang a bell. "I'm guessing it's a bindrune of some sort."
