"I guess that's the thing about America. Younger country, fewer discriminations, probably doesn't hurt to have a werewolf around when you're a settler," Adam said. "Actually, that makes a hell of a lot of sense. If I ever have to settle the wilderness, you're my go-to guy, dude." He took a deep drag and blew the smoke out the window. "God, don't go work for the American government, man. My whole office back there treated me like a little kid up until the day I went overseas - and I was 25, mind you."
He shifted his legs a bit and pushed his hair off his face. "Like I said, the only thing I care about is protecting my family, and you're not attacking them. Why should I be upset? You're just like anyone else most days of the month. Kind of like women, only don't tell my wife I said that, 'cause she'll probably make me sleep on the couch next time I'm home."
