Gerard wrinkled his nose, looking off to the side. "Don't call me sir," he said. "I'm not old enough for that yet. I don't think." He turned his gaze back to him, the topic of conversation distracting him for a moment from his own awkwardness. "I think so. I can't be sure, though, so I'm hesitant to say one way or another until I am."
