"This is true," Adam said, then sighed. "This is ridiculous. I mean, can you imagine? You go your whole life being able to do whatever with the flick of a wand, and then all of a sudden it's like, oh yeah, no, you're actually going to have to work to do that." He hoisted his bags up over his shoulder and looked around, making sure none of the windows were open (it wouldn't do to have it rain and end up with a damp, moldy room), then sulked past Gerard.
"Lead the way to my exile, good sir," he said, walking across his office and out into the corridor.
