Adam drew his hand back, not really wanting to let Gerard handle his wand. He was kind of touchy about that kind of thing. He was attached, as you are, to the thing, seeing as he'd been carrying it about since he was eleven. "I hope it isn't. I'd really prefer not to spread it to anyone. Which is making me even more nervous, since I was out Tuesday afternoon."
Adam made a face. "Are you going to wrestle me down if I refuse?" he asked, suddenly feeling a little surly about it. Then he sighed. "Let me grab a few things. Might as well get something productive done while I'm trapped." He grabbed a satchel from the floor near the desk and basically swept all the scraps of papers and parchments that were littering the table into it. He felt like he was going to have a while, so he'd be able to sort it out. Getting dressed was probably in order, too.
